Ruzgar is the son of Zag the Splicer, a notorious goblin orc slaver who ran one of the largest “labor auctions” in the central Solis Plateau. As the heir, Ruzgar was educated in five trade languages, land appraisal, and organ pricing before he even grew facial hair (not like he can grow much anyways). Though he grew up in wealth by plateau standards, he never forgot the resentment behind every glance: other monsters feared goblins, but everyone else reviled them. Unlike his father, Ruzgar began to travel alone to Marineer settlements to trade incense, beads, monster meat, and strange ores from the desert. He dressed like a canyon merchant, hid his accent, and tried to mimic "civilized" behavior. But the looks never softened. No matter how polished his manners, he was still a goblin to them: a monster pretending to be a man. When he meets Ereno’s Party, he sees something he desperately wants, camaraderie.
