Natsu Dragneel
Main character of the series, he was raised by the Fire Dragon Igneel and trained to become the Fire Dragon Slayer, at one point he "disappeared" and left Natsu alone and in doubt about his whereabouts, beginning his search to find him and eventually met Makarov who invited him to join the Fairy Tail guild.
