[AOI HIKARI] Alisa Igorevna Seleznyova is the protagonist of a series of children's science fiction books by Kir Bulychov written from 1965 until his death in 2003. The series served as a base for a number of animated and live-action adaptations, notably 1981 "Mystery of the Third Planet", 1984 "Guest from the Future", 2009 "Alisa's Birthday" and 2013 "Alisa Knows What to Do!" Alisa's appearence for this model is based mostly on "Mystery of the Third Planet" and somewhat on the books' illustrations by Yevgeny Migunov Alisa lives in Moscow at the end of the XXI century. Nothing is exactly told about Earth's political structure, but it looks pretty utopian and we’re told "we don't have money on Earth anymore, we only bring money when we go to space to places where money still exist". Space and time travel are common to the point where 12-year-old schoolkids can be seen flying spaceships by themselves and get sent to the past as history assignments for school (at least by the time Alisa is 11, as time travel was invented only recently, when she was a preschooler). Also, fairy tale creatures are discovered to have existed in the Age of Legends "between the third and fourth Ice Ages", some of them are evacuated with a time machine to the Fairy-tale Reserve in Moscow. On the other hand, space pirates exist as a threat coming from less civilized corners of space. In short, think Star Trek for kids. Alisa's father Professor Igor Seleznyov is a director of Moscow Cosmozo (no idea why only one o at the end in the books, in the adaptations there are two), a zoo for extraterrestrial animals, also housing a brontosaur for some years until a special dinosaur zoo is built on an island in Scotland later. Alisa's mother Kira Seleznyova is an architect, she's building buildings often on other planets, and by that is often away from home. At home they also have a household robot Polya and Alisa’s pet Martian mantis (at one point there’s also a mention of a pet black cat). Throughout her adventures, Alisa makes many friends among fellow kids and adults, humans and aliens, animals from earth and from other planets. Alisa loves animals and is aspiring to be a biologist after her father, and as such she works at a “young biologists’ station” aka “the biostation” with her friends Pashka, Arkasha, Javad, Masha and Natasha, where they conduct biological experiments such as genetically engineering new species. Alisa starts as 3 to 6 years old in the first book and goes up to 12 in the subsequent books at which point the author throws away all semblance of continuity by keeping stating her age as 12, even if logically she must be 13 and 14 in some of the later books given the time clearly stated to have passed since past events. This model represents a 12 year old Alisa as a kind of default age.
