Soujiro is a Japanese high school graduate who went to the USA, thanks to a scholarship and his fluent English & sports skills such as baseball (although he prefer basketball because of Kuroko's Basketball anime). While he lived in a town on East Coast, he was asked to coach a girls basketball team. He didn't know that it will be a JUNIOR basketball team. And the girls are "THIRSTY", so to speak (LOL). After few "encounters", he decided to name the team as The 69ers. Of course, many people protest about the team's name. Weirldy enough, no one bats an eye when Soujiro decides to changed the team's name into the 'Rock You' team with the exact same logo of The 69ers, with a full intent pun of Roku Kyuu (Six Nine in Japanese).
