When I download the zip from the mega link above, the browser app says “virus detected” and won't let me download, and Windows defender detects trojan, so is it really safe?
That's really weird. I have no idea what's causing that. I uploaded the zip myself, and even I'm getting a false positive when trying to redownload it. All it contains is the two coordinate images, nothing else. I'll zip it with winrar instead of 7zip, since that seems to be the thing giving the false positive. Here it is: https://mega.nz/file/V6dFWC4I#vNpF2GPh4QdJdHJ6Qp6yy24ZfC96QiLOih7pLgukGO4
Here's also a virus total of this rar file. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/586fd2bfa55aa5184c763a30c5363d79b91f0f08ee1c6aa01e1a8306fcdb5292/detection
Sorry for the late reply, ID changed but it's jone above. OK I see what you mean about the file. So apart from that, one more thing to check, Is there zero chance that your PC is infected with a virus, have you run a full scan with Win defender? I'll be relieved if I get confirmation of that.
Sorry for being persistent, but it's because I want to feel safe using the character you've adjusted. Please reply. (As for the file, it's probably just the ZIP (7ZIP) configuration or the hash value in it that got caught by win df, but you know, just in case)
I highly doubt that my pc is infected, I'm pretty roundabout when it comes to security, granted, I can't give a guarantee. I did a quick scan, as that's the best I can offer right now, seeing as the full scan would take half the day (I have a pretty slow HDD, - yeah, I know. I just can't be bothered transfering old files.). Here's an print screen of said scan: https://prnt.sc/7Fiedqudd4NF . That's about as good as I can do for proof that my system isn't compromised. I've made numerous cards and I've never had a complaint before, so I imagine this is some problem with 7zip. Googling about it further I ended up with a few results such as this: https://www.acaglobal.com/insights/urgent-patching-required-address-7-zip-mark-web-bypass-vulnerability . Not really suggesting that this was it, but it's not outside of the realm of possibility that 7zip (I have the latest version, I updated it the moment I found out about the vulnerability a few months back.)
is the culprit that's triggering the false positive here. Though, again, your own personal discretion is advised,
I was surprised at how quickly they responded. Thanks, on my end, I ran the previous zip file through the site and didn't see any threats, and I didn't get any warnings when I downloaded the rar file uploaded to another person's mega, so I guess I'm OK...? I ran a full scan on my PC too and nothing came up... well, whatever it is, I'm glad your computer is safe. I'm okay now that I've made my peace with it, but for your sake, you might want to try a win dfd full scan or free antivirus software once you have time (e.g. before bed or when you leave your PC unattended for long periods of time). Well, you're right, maybe 7zip is doing something bad... Sorry for the long story (_ _;) Have a good koikatu life then (╹▽╹ )/
