She is the daughter of an ancient golden dragon and a legendary hero of an age long shrouded in the oblivious fog of history. As a member of the draconic bloodline she is still barely older then a juvenile but her innate "talent" to turn all kinds of metals to pure gold landed the interest of a whole slew of shady individuals on her. She has gotten herself out of trouble on multiple occasions her other gifts and the stupendous ineptitude of her captors to recognize her fragile base state as a virulent weakness, gave her ample opportunity to leave at her own leisure either through the use of her narcotic breath or fire and claw. In conclusion, she is a juvenile dragonborn out to make a name for herself, her natural tendency made it rather difficult to stay out of trouble on most days, but she can manage handily. Oh yeah and I'd guess she's not all that much into gold which is uncharacteristic, preferring to be paid in good meals and anonimous places to sleep.
