When she gets worked up 'bout somethin' she can't really do anything about, she goes on these big long rants 'til she tires herself out. And they can be kinda tirin' to listen to, but I'm glad she feels what she feels. I like that cares that much about other people." About Kit... "Honestly, I think the only person who I saw more of growin' up than Kit is Lucy. An' askin' me about either of them is like askin' me 'bout my legs: Course I like 'em! I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without 'em!" About Nora... "Nora is... pretty strange. She's really nice, though. And I think she's real pretty. Um." About his parents... "Mom started working full-time when I was three, and Dad always worked lots, so... I never actually saw all that much of them. I know they both worked less when Lucy was growing up, so she probably had stronger relationships with them; she's probably missing them a lot right now, but... I dunno, like, they weren't... They weren't strangers, but... I'm not hurting like I know Lucy is. I just wish she wouldn't try to hide it, because, y'know, I want to help her. Really, she's the one who raised me - she and Kit." About the Molls... "They normally not too friendly with boys, but some of 'em're nice to me. I guess it's 'cuz I'm younger, but I hope that don't mean they're gonna start treatin' me coldly later on." About Billi... "Every time I see Billi, my heart does this weird thing where it feels like it's gonna throw up. It's so crazy, but I like it a lot. I wanna practice running more so I can work with Billi when I grow up." About the Echoes... "Kit and Lucy nod along whenever the Echoes are talking, but I gotta figure they're only pretending to understand what they're hearin'. They use, like, pretty soundin' words, but it's all, uh... 'abstract,' Lucy said they were. They're very 'abstract.'" About Kasia... "Before all this, Lucy used to make me agree that she was the coolest older sister in the whole wide world times infinity, but if Kasia was my older sister, then she would be the coolest older sister in the universe times infinity times two." About Ultimum Recursum... "I was in the library once during an attack by the Executors. It was really scary, and I knew, that if the Executors broke through, they would probably think I was an Echo too and kill me, but... I watched the fight through the windows. They're so cool. I felt safe." About the Executrix... "I haven't seen her, but I've heard her. When she's rallying her Executors, she sounds... I can't tell if she sounds angry or sad. I know she's a bad person, but I hope she feels better soon. Maybe she'll stop being bad then?" About Sex Party... "I... um... Lucy said I'm too young to know what they're all about. Kit asked me if I ever wanted to kiss anybody, and he said it's a bit like that but more... intense." About Doolan... "Doolan's really nice to me. He let's me play games on his computer when he doesn't need it for work, and sometimes he lets me play games in real life: he gets me to run around the power plant, droppin' off packages for the other Wizards. He calls me 'the Sneakernet'. I'm still tryna figure out which gang I'd wanna join when I'm older, but if I can't get fast enough to run with Billi, I'd be happy to keep doin' stuff for the Wizards." About Marco... "Marco's super funny in a really sneaky kind of way. He puts a lot of effort into these pranks with like no return, and he's kinda awkward while he's performin' it, but you can tell he worked super hard to make you laugh- or be amazed- or be... like... impressed. Like, he convinced me he had, um... telekinetic powers once: he hovered a hand over his keyboard, and I told him what to type, and it looked like he was typing with his mind, but in reality, he'd taught himself to type with his toes, and he hooked the toe keyboard up to the normal one. I bet if Marco had a girlfriend, he would do very nice things for her." About Jose... "Jose's the only Wizard who doesn't treat me different 'cuz I'm younger, which is kinda cool, I guess, but it's also kinda weird. I always thought the Sex Party people were s'posed to be bad people, but talking to Jose makes me think that maybe everybody's kind of a Sex Party person in their heart. Maybe I'll be one too someday."
