Gunstar Red from the 2005 Treasure developed Gameboy Advance title "Gunstar Super Heroes" ("Gunstar Future Heroes" in Europe) Somewhere between a remake and a sequel to the original game, the GBA title features impressive visuals, fast-paced action, and a variety of gameplay. Most notable is the control scheme, which gives the player access to the original title's Free and Fixed firing modes at any time, as well as secondary fire modes and multiple melee attacks. Unfortunately, it lacks two of the original title's most celebrated features: co-op gameplay and weapon combinations. It is instead single-player only, and the two main characters have a pre-determined set of three weapons they can switch between.
