While usually a laid-back person, Garyu is extremely intense when it comes to volleyball. It has reached a point where she occasionally has to take day-offs due to injuries from overtraining, not to mention her constantly skipping classes to rest before training. Her complete devotion to volleyball affords her no time for romantic relationships -- not that she was ever interested in it, so she usually relies on her friends whenever her urges flare up.
