Joan Blake
<size=46><align=center><color=red>Joan <size=28>Age: 23, Height: 6'2'' (182 cm) <size=22>Bass Player, Guitarist, Backup Vocals <size=36> Biography <align=left><color=white><size=20>Born into a rocky, abusive household, Joan had a pretty nasty upbringing. She was forced to adapt, pushing her emotions inward, building up her physique and presenting a threatening aura to keep her abusive father away from her and her mother. Excessive physical training and some good genetics definitely added up over time. Now towering over her abuser, she'd scared him out of his own home. Now just her and her mother, her life has since been more peaceful, though the scars of her past experience continue to haunt her. In highschool she found comfort in a band of misfits from similarly broken homes, they all found they had aptitude for converting and venting their frustrations into powerful music. They eventually formed a band, titled "Terminal Lucidity," a conventional metal band with songs based around existentialism and the frustrations of finding meaning in day-to-day life. They've been a tight-knit group for many years, achieving modest success at music festivals and any other gatherings that'd have them. She's shown proficiency with both the bass and guitar, though plays bass for the band itself. On occasion she also provides backup vocals, though not amazing on her own, her deep, melodic voice adds impact to the lead vocals, just as her bass adds impact to the song as a whole. Joan's obtained the nickname "Empress" by their small fan following, for her quiet yet commanding demeanor, both on and off stage. <color=blue><align=center><size=36>Personality <align=left><color=white><size=20>Joan is quite abrasive when first met. She's quiet, calm, and incredibly introverted. Appearing openly hostile, she shys away from conversation and is rarely seen speaking, even amongst her band mates. She usually speaks in single words, hand gestures or grunts, though her fellow bandmates have gotten used to her strange methods of communication. Joan isn't the best at conveying her thoughts or feelings. She was brought up to despise and refuse to show weakness; as such, she keeps most of her personal or private thoughts to herself, even those closest to her never really know what she's thinking exactly. Despite this general stoic demeanor, she herself isn't doing it intentionally, as its become second nature for her. She's been consciously trying to improve her communication skills and has made decent progress. Because of these developments, its very easy for her to become flustered or embarassed as she's learning how to properly convey her emotions to those around her.
