A LOOONG time ago, Lyla used to be human, but fell in love with another skinstealer, (who later died from an unfortunate accident), when she grew older, this allowed her to become a skinstealer as well, via synthetic ascension. Most skinstealers feel extreme discomfort when not wearing a human skin, as it removes their sense of touch. Due to her age and having no skin to wear on several occasions, Lyla is more comfortable then average not wearing a human skin. Due to this fact combined with the fact that she is proud to be a skinstealer, she usually doesn't wear any skin on her right hand, and proudly displays her Y cut. Like all other skinstealers, her Y cut hides a mechanical arm tipped with a syringe. This syringe is used for a process skinstealers call "salvation", where when they find someone who is not deserving of life (ie: rapist, murderer, etc), they inject them with an overdose of anesthetic, and use chemicals to treat and preserve the skin, so that they can wear it and take over the person's life. If the preserved skin does not fit them, they will attempt to find another skinstealer who it will fit to give it too. Some skinstealers also store additional bladed arms inside their Y cut, Lyla stores 6 of these arms. Due to her synthetic nature, it is impossible for Lyla to get pregnent.
